Stucco

By admin

Stucco, even today, is a very popular finish to put on the exterior of your house. In the 1980’s and 1990’s stucco had a very bad reputation because of shoddy workmanship and lax inspection bylaws. Those days are long gone.

All stucco must now be rain-screened. This process allows the walls of the house to “breath” and moisture does not build up underneath the stucco finish. There is a 1/4″ to 1/2″ space between the wall and the actual finish with two layers of paper. This is how stucco should always have been done.
